Professional firefighters completed the training
In order to work independently in Portorož Airport fire department it is necessary to obtain several airport licenses and it is also necessary to acquire education in Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief.
On 16. and 17.7.2020, final exams for the professional firefighter were held: candidates had to answer questions regarding firefighting skills and fire prevention, they had to convince commission about knowledge of firefighting tools, devices and operational procedures and on final they had to complete practical exam exercise. The training was completed by the 27th generation of forty candidates for professional firefighters, including a member of the Portorož Airport Fire and Rescue Unit, Vedran Kogoj.
