We have prepared new promotional video entitled Landing in paradise. We wanted to bring the destination and the airport closer to our customers by telling the story through their eyes - the eyes of a pilot. Portorož Airport offers long-lasting tradition, top quality services as well as a friendly and gracious approach to each and every customer. We are proud of last year's numbers, when 28,881 passengers were transported through Portorož Airport and 17,333 flight operations were recorded. With the video, we wanted to reach these pilots and passengers and all those in love with flying who don't know us yet. Given the situation we all find ourselves in, we think that video can be our important link.
The video was ordered and payed by Aerodrom Portorož d.o.o. The production and filming was performed by the excellent Kleva Films team.
We did most of the filming over the summer of 2019 and we made a few shots when we witnessed the most beautiful sunrises this winter. The video will serve as an airport promotion at trade fairs, as a presentation at meetings, and as a form of online promotion. Because trends dictate so, we have prepared a shorter version of the video for social networks. We wanted to premiere the video at the fair in Friedrichshafen, which is for us the most important promotional event, but unfortunately it was canceled this year due to a pandemic.
Special thanks go to pilot Valter Faganelj, who proved himself in the lead role. He responded to our invitation immediately and was always available for filming. His positive energy and love for flying can also be felt on the screen. Vladimir Zinchenko lent us a plane for the filming, for which we are really grateful. The plane is Pipistrel's new Panthera model. In this way too, we want to take the name Slovenia into the world. We would also like to thank the local actors Hotel Piran, Residenca Čeligo, Kempinski Hotel Adriatic, who voluntarily opened their doors to us and allowed us to film on their facilities and surfaces. Big thanks go to the Law Office Cek for the friendly boat rental. The Go Portorož agency, OLCP, who also helped us with organizing the filming. Thanks to Slovenian female pilots, Slovenia control, Slovenian police and pilot Nejc Faganelj who made an important contribution to the story with their roles. Thanks to Robert Letica s.p. for an airplane model. Thanks to Nada Ražem who played the female lead, and the make-up artist Polona Slabe who took care of the flawless look in the background.
