As we are usually talking about pilots :) we decided to give you a sneak peak into our team and our work. We hope you will enjoy in reading as much as we have in writting. We will start this story with our colleague Emanuel, Fisherman at the Airport.

 ¨It’s the early hours of a morning and as the rest of the world sleeps, we fire up the engine, switch on the navigation lights and let the ropes go from the quay. As we pass the pier head we stow the ropes, check the gear one last time, as we slip into the darkness to start another day’s work. But to get a catch using nets we don't have to travel far today. Today’s catch is quite good with a few European Bass and a good mix of other fish.¨

Emanuel is the skipper of fishing vessel the, a 6m boat working in Slovenian see. The vessel catches a mix of flatfish fish, european bass, mullets, … But he is also working as a ramp handling staff and firefighter at Portorož Airport. It is already 6:30 and Emanuel must prepare quickly for another job. Meanwhile Emanuel`s brother Robert sell the fish in the market. Fishermen also sell to vendors depending on the best price offered and the vendors in turn sell them at the market.

 ¨Portorož Airport is in winter time openning at 8:00AM and I am the one who needs to be there earlier to check the runway and prepare firefighting equipment. Today is a nice sunny winter day and we are expecting quite a traffic.  My collegue is checking the fuel as the first plane is  already landing. I sit on our follow me quadricycle vehicle and start another lively day at airport. As clock is nearly 4.30pm we are getting ready to go home which means we check all the planes are tied down, all doors are closed and all reports w  ritten. Now it`s time for me to relax and prepare for another exciting day.˝
