he successfully completed his training at the Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief last year for the profession of firefighter. He continued his education at the Portorož Airport Aviation School where he passed the final exam with distinction. A good two years of training and, of course, the successful completion of these are a condition for independent work at Portorož Airport. We are very pleased that Vedran did it with distinction. Congratulations!
We asked Vedran about his impressions of the learning path:
The feeling of heat and smoke, preasure when rescuing a person in a car accident or accidents of highly dangerous substances, we have experienced it all. Thecnics and tactics we all learned in a well simulated situations in a celler, in an appartment even in the forest. Schooling was really intense and informative, but exciting. Final words from our instructor were: «Guys, you learned a lot, but you don't know anything. Now, the real school begins.«
And it did. For me here at aerodrom Portorož.
